KARACHI: Left arm pacer Mohammad Amir received a hamstring injury during final of the Patron’s Trophy (Grade-II) Cricket Tournament played between Omar Associates and Karachi Port Trust today.
The pacer forced to leave the field due to the injury after bowling only 10 over in the Grade-II cricket match that raised more question for his return to cricket in September after permission of International Cricket Council (ICC) to play domestic matches.
Mohammad Amir said that he was concentrating on his game only to impress the national selectors as his ICC ban would be over on September 2, 2015.
He expressed hopes that he would regain its position in sight of the national selectors after proving himself in Grade-II and Super T20 matches.
