LONDON: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that if he received an invitation from Indian Premier Modi, he would definitely visit India but the sole agenda of his dialogue would be Kashmir. He was responding to questions from an Indian newsman at a function in West London.
The JIP chief said that the talk of trade of onion and potatoes or cricket, leaving aside the core issue of Kashmir was a fraud which the rulers of the two countries were playing with their people with the claims of better bilateral relations.
Sirajul Haq said that India was paying an extremely high price for its occupation in Kashmir as millions of Indian people were living below poverty line and millions of naked and starving Indians had to spend their lives on footpaths. As such, Modi should think of providing food, clothing and shelter to the poor Indians and give up occupation of Kashmir, he added.
The JI chief said that the double standards of the word powers in regard to the Muslims had created serious threats to the world peace. The issues of Kashmir and Palestine were the biggest issues on the UN Charter but the world body had not prepared any line of action for their solution. On the other hand, East Taimor and South Sudan were separated promptly from the Muslim states. The world powers, he said, had always supported dictators in Muslim countries instead of democracy. He said the world community should understand the shroud of hypocrisy of the west for the establishment of peace and side with justice.
Sirajul Haq urged the Kashmiris and the Pakistani community in Britain to join hands and raise their voice for the rights of the Kashmiris. He also urged them to stage a strong protest during Modi s visit to England.
