NEW DELHI: Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has congratulated people of Pakistan on their Independence Day on Friday, August 14.
In his Twitter message, Modi wrote, “Greetings & good wishes to the people of Pakistan on their Independence Day”.
Considered traditional rivals, Pakistan and India were one under British rule while Pakistan gained its Independence on August 14, 1947 while India got it the other day, August 15.
