Cellular company Mobilink and Warid have announced to merge in marker for the first time.
The deal is confirmed by both companies which is through and that VimpelCom.
For now we know that both Mobilink and Warid are merging and VimpelCom will become the sole stakeholder of Warid as Dhabi Group decided to exit from Telecom market of Pakistan.
As a result of the deal, Mobilink will grow to 46 million subscribers’ company and Telenor to remain at number two position, in terms of subscribers, with its current 33 million customers.
Fully ripe for consolidation for a long time, this is one positive news that Pakistani telecom industry was looking for years, and its now finally here.
