Australian bowling coach Craig McDermott said that injured pacer Mitchell Starc will be in a boot for three weeks and we’ll start working from there. He expressed hopes that Starc will be available for ‘New Zealand series and the World T20 where he’s ranked number one in the world.’
McDermott while speaking to Grandstand on Sunday said that the paceman’s injured foot is better than feared, and despite missing the upcoming West Indies Test series he will undergo rest rather than surgery. He confirmed that Starc has an obvious crack in his foot following stress fracture.
It should be mentioned here that the series in New Zealand will begin in February 2016 with the World T20 in India the following month.
