Michel Platini refused to talk about his campaign to replace Sepp Blatter as Fifa president in his first press conference since he declared his candidacy in July.
“Yes, I’m stopping there,” said Platini when asked if his current term, his third as UEFA president, would be his last.
“I will either be here for another six months, or another three years. “This isn’t the place or the time to talk about FIFA,” he added.
Platini said there would be plenty of time to talk about FIFA and that he’d be doing plenty of talking. It’s just that, for many of those assembled, this would have been a good time to hear about plans, reform, Blatter, scandals and manifestos.
