NOWSHEHRA: A court accepted the bail plea of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Iftikhar in the murder case of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist.
The ANP leader was brought before Civil Judge Iftikhar Hussain in the court where the ANP stalwart’s counsel present the agreement between the two parties in which Habibullah’s father Bashir Alam stated that he wanted to take back the name of Mian Iftikhar Hussain from the First Information Report (F.I.R) of his son’s murder.
A written statement was also filed by the father of deceased Habibullah.
Mian Iftikhar was consequently released from the sub-jail.
It must be remembered that Mian Iftikhar and his security guard were arrested form outside ANP office after the death of PTI activist Habibullah’s death in the firing over success in local body elections.
