ISLAMABAD: Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on Saturday said that the helicopter MI-17 crashed in Naltar went out of control before landing due to a technical fault.
The Air Chief was talking to state-owned PTV News, he said the real causes of the accident could be determined after probe.
Aman said the base commander himself was observing landing of the helicopter in Nalter Valley.
He said that the pilots had excellent professional skills adding that the MI-17 helicopter was on a routine flight.
Aman further added that the international community has expressed solidarity with Pakistan over Naltar tragedy.
