Met office predicts hot, humid weather with rain in some parts

ISLAMABAD: The Metereological Department of Pakistan onThursday has predicted mainly hot and humid weather in most parts of the country during the day time while rain in some parts next 24 hours.

According to Met office , eid celebrations on second day (Thursday) were enhanced after rainfall in cities of Punjab and Karachi.

However, in night/evening rain-thundershowers with isolated heavy falls accompanied by windstorm are expected at scattered places in Islamabad,Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan, divisions, FATA, Gilgil-Baltistan and Kashmir while at isolated places in Multan, D.G. Khan, Bahawalpur divisions during the next twelve hours. Light rain/drizzle is also expected along Sindh coast.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning was : Islamabad 25 °C, Lahore and Peshawar 27°C,, Karachi 29°C,, Quetta 28°C,, Gilgit and Murree 19°C,  and Muzaffarabad 22°C,.

Highest maximum temperatures at various places were as : Dalbandin 47°C,, Nokkundi 45°C,, Pajgur, Sh. Benazirabad and Rohri 44°C.
