Met Dept alerts high flood in Indus River

Pakistan Met Department has issued high flood alerts that is likely to hit Monday afternoon till Tuesday at Kalabagh spot in Indus River that could range between 550,000 cusecs to 600,000 cusecs.

A high flood has been predicted by the Pakistani Meteorological Department in Indus River at Tarbela upstream ranging between 490,000 to 550,000 cusecs during next 24 hours.

Flood Forecasting Division of Lahore also issued latest advisory that forecasted flood that would range 550,000 cusecs to 600,000 cusecs on Monday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon at Kalabagh while another spot was also spotted for expected flood of the same range at Chashma in Indus River.

The Flood Forecasting Division also issued warnings for high to very high flood at Mangla upstream in Jhelum River that would range between 150000 to 300000 cusecs by tonight.
