Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday clarified its stance that ECP members would not tender any resignation over demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.
ECP prepared formal reply against allegations of Imran Khan levelled against ECP in his last press conference. ECP spokesperson said that Imran Khan will be advised to provide suggestion for electoral reformations for upcoming 2018 election. He clarified that no a single member of the national institution would tender resignation over demand of Imran Khan.
He said that Judicial Commission report has not having such points that could push ECP members to resign from their positions.
The response letter also said that 2013 general election was more transparent than all previous elections held in Pakistan while more transparency would be brought in the upcoming 2018 election under new electoral reformations.
