ISLAMABAD: Managing Director IMF Christine Lagarde has asked Pakistan to continue pushing ahead with the reforms to facilitate a deeper structural transformation of the country and set it on the path of higher and more inclusive growth.
In a letter to Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar after her visit to Pakistan, IMF MD assured that IMF will be ready to support Pakistan in its endeavours in any way possible.
She said she truly enjoyed her visit to Pakistan and the engaging conversions both sides had about the progress and future direction of Pakistan’s economic reform programme.
She congratulated the Finance Minister and his colleagues on the completion of IMF supported economic reform programme which helped restore macroeconomic stability and strengthened the country’s resilience .
Ms Christine Lagarde appreciated the excellent cooperation between Pakistan and the IMF.
