Islamabad: The trial of civilians related to the May 9 tragedy has started in the military courts and the federal government has informed the Supreme Court about this.

In the separate application of the federal government, it is said that in the light of the order of the Supreme Court of August 3, the court is being informed about the beginning of the trials, the persons taken into military custody were arrested under the Pakistan Army Act 1952 and the Official Secrets Act. They are involved in the attack on GHQ Rawalpindi and Corps Commander House Lahore, the arrested persons are also involved in the attack on PAF Base Mianwali, ISI Civil Lines Faisalabad.
According to the request, the arrested persons are in custody for their involvement in the attack on Hamza camp, Bannu camp and Gujranwala camp.
In the request of the federal government, it has been said that 102 people were arrested in the light of the incidents of May 9 and 10 and trial was started in the military courts for the right of justice of these people, while the trial is being conducted keeping in mind the interest of the detained people.
