KARACHI: Anti-Terrorism Court will announce the decision on the bail application of Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar in May 12 case on September 24.
Three cases are registered against Waseem Akhtar at Airport police station and he is also facing case for being the facilitator of the inflammatory speech of the founder of MQM. Asked by the court about the proofs of May 12 incident the Investigation Officer said that Waseem Akhtar held a meeting at Nine-zero about which Umair Siddiqui, Syed Ijaz Shah and others have informed. Waseem Akhtar issued directions in the meeting to not to let then chief justice Pakistan set foot in Karachi.
After Investigation Officer’s report the court reserved the decision in three cases which will be announced on September 24. —INP
