PALLEKELE: Mathews shined as Sri Lanka in commanding position against Pakistan in 3rd Test day three played in Pallekele international stadium.

Sri Lanka were on top of their game as they rap up Pakistan innings on 215 runs and gained 63 runs lead in the first innings.

Dhammika Prasad, Nuwan Pradeep and Tharindu Kaushal took three wickets each for the host.

Sarfraz Ahmed once again steady with the bat as he scored unbeaten 78 runs while Azhar Ali scored 52 for the visitors.

Sri Lank in second inning scored 228 on loss of five wickets gaining lead over Pakistan by 291 runs at stumps day 3.

Skipper Angelo Mathews scored unbeaten 77 runs while Dinesh Chandimal made unbeaten 39 for the home side.

Yasir Shah and Rahat Ali took two wickets each for the Green-shirts.
