Massive blast rocks Turkish capital, 28 dead

ANKARA: Powerful explosion left 28 dead and 75 injured  in the Turkish capital, Ankara on Sunday evening, local media reported.

A senior security official said that a blast hit a park in the Turkish capital. The cause of the explosion is so far unknown, the official added.

Ambulances could be seen at the scene, while the security official told the media that many people were killed and injured in the blast.

Images allegedly showing the aftermath of the explosion emerged on social media. A huge fire could be seen in some of them. A large cloud of smoke rising into the dark could also be seen from the distance.
