ISLAMABAD: A petition seeking disqualification of Maryam Nawaz from holding the office of PML-N Vice President has been rejected by the  Election Commission  of Pakistan on Tuesday.

The ECP in its verdict said that Maryam Nawaz Sharif can stay on as party’s vice president.

Earlier on Monday, an ECP’s three-member bench had reserved the verdict.

The petition for the disqualification of Maryam Nawaz was filed by PTI leaders Kanwal Shauzab, Malika Bukhari and Farrukh Habib.
