PESHAWAR: Capt (retd) Safdar, the PML-N leader and son-in-law of former prime minister, evaded an attempt to throw an egg on him here on Thursday.
An unknown man hurled an egg at the PML-N leader when he came out of the Peshawar High Court building after appearing in the court in the bail before arrest case. However, the attempt failed as the egg missing the target hit a car parked in the area.
Soon after the attack, Capt Safdar carrying a stick ran after the attacker to catch him but he managed to flee the scene in a rickshaw.
It may be mentioned here that Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan on Political Contacts Shehbaz Gill was attacked four days ago with an egg and ink while appearing before a court in Lahore.
