MISSISSUAGA: Several Muslim worshippers were injured when a man attacked them with an axe at a mosque in Mississauga, Canada.
According to the foreign news agency, a man attacked with an ax at dawn in which several Muslims were injured in a mosque.
The reports quoting the mosque administration said that the worshipers overpowered the 24-year-old attacker and handed him over to the police.
Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau has strongly condemned the attack on congregants at the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre, saying “there is no room for such violence in Canada.”

Last month, Unknown attackers vandalised a mosque in Germany.
Head of Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) said that unknown attackers painted a swastika on one of the doors of the mosque.
Turgut Ulker said that last month similar attacks on the mosques were carried out in Dortmund.
He demanded of the authorities concerned to take immediate action protecting worship places.
Turgut Ulker vowed to continue fight against racism alongside with democratic institutions.
