ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to play a proactive role in eliminating corruption through an across-the-board process.
Talking to Deputy Chairman NAB Muhammad Imtiaz Tajwar in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said the scourge of corruption has stunted the growth of country’s economy and institutions.
He asked NAB to end corruption by adopting a comprehensive strategy encompassing public awareness, preventive measures, strengthening prosecution and effective enforcement of laws.
Executive Director National Vocational and Technical Training Commission Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema also separately called on the President.
The President directed him that training facilities be extended to greater number of youth to expand the base of skilled manpower.
