KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Sunday said that majority of the parliamentarians would be in jails if a free and fair accountability is held in the country.
The JI chief stated this while addressing a ceremony held here on Sunday.
He said that majority of the parliamentarians would be in jails if a free and fair accountability is held ion the country. All the political parties must be held accountable, he added.
Criticising the government, Sirajul Haq said that the PTI-led government had failed to come up to the expectations of the people. Rulers have divided the nation. There is no difference between the previous and current rulers as their interests are same.
The JI leader said that the corruption, inflation, lawlessness and unemployment had further increased in the PTI-led government. He added prices of life-saving drugs had increased 500 per cent.
