KARACHI: Despite the May 1 public holiday, most of the markets in Karachi are remained opened today.
Karachi Tajir Ittehad Chairman Atiq Mir said that over 20 per cent markets in the port city are opened on the Labour Day. The decision to keep the markets opened was taken to avoid three consecutive holidays and to facilitate the citizens in their Eid shopping.
According to Atiq Mir, Clifton, Saddar mobile market, Tariq road, Bahadurabad, Liaquatabad, Hyderi and others markets are opened today.
