Lyari women approach SHC seeking help against new gang-war criminals

KARACHI: A new group of gangsters has reportedly emerged in the Karachi’s Lyari neighbourhood.

Six sisters had approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) and filed a petition seeking help to get rid of a new gang-war leader named Ayub alias Billa in Lyari.

In the plea, the women said that they were daughters of Abdul Jabbar, a local trader. They added that the members of the gang war including Ayub Billa, Amaan Billa, Waqas Teeja, Saif and Majid had illegally occupied their go down in Lyari. Also, the police had filed a fake case against our younger brothers on the pressure of some political personalities, they further said.

The sisters said that the gang war members wanted to kill their younger brothers and sought protection from the court.

The women had appealed to the prime minister, Sindh chief minister, DG Rangers and IG to provide them justice.
