Fast bowler Muhammad Wasim junior, who is representing Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League 9, has said that the competition for fast bowlers in the PSL is getting tougher.
Talking to a local TV, Muhammad Wasim said that there are three to four fast bowlers in each team and all of them are performing. Some fast bowlers who have recovered from injury are also participating in the mega competition.
He said that the wickets in Pakistan do not support the fast bowlers much. Despite lack of favorable pitches, the fast bowlers are working hard and the competition is getting tougher. Bowling well on such pitches is no less than a challenge for the fast bowlers, he added.
Muhammad Wasim said that he is also practicing batting but luck is not helping him. I got a chance to bat a couple of times and tried hard hitting but did not get much success. The World Cup is near so every fast bowler is trying to perform well in the ongoing PSL.
He said that there should be a rotation policy, if a fast bowler gets a rest, then it is beneficial for him. There is so much cricket now a days as there are many leagues around the world. Environment of Quetta Gladiator is very good. Despite change in captaincy, the management has succeeded in uniting the team.
