ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General (retd) Nasir Janjua has replaced Sartaj Aziz as the new National Security Adviser (NSA).
In this regard Cabinet Division has issued a notification has issued a notice of Nasir Janjua’s appointment.
Earlier, the decision had been made in principle to appoint General Janjua as NSA, a source close to the ministry said.
“If nothing dramatic happens, General Janjua will be the next National Security Adviser, among other matters, enabling Sartaj Aziz to focus more on the foreign affairs front,” the source claimed.
