Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that to lessen the economic affects of restrictions on the masses the lockdown would have to be removed gradually in the country.
He stated this in a televised address to the nation.
The prime minister said that lockdown has to be removed so that citizens could earn livelihood.
However, he said that we have to follow safety measures otherwise our efforts would go waste.
About the Corona Relief Tiger Force, the prime minister said that it would help the people affected by lockdown.
He added that administration alone could not do much.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a PTI’s parliamentary meeting, which was attended by chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal ministers via video link.
Usman Dar, the prime minister’s special assistant briefed the meeting on the Tiger Force. The meeting also discussed the situation arisen due to coronavirus pandemic and the measures taken to limit it.
The parliamentary meeting also decided that district administrations and high ranking bureaucracy at the provincial level would cooperate with the Tiger Force.
