LAHORE: Secretary General, Jamaat e islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the operation “Raddul Fasad” also aimed at curbing terrorism like the National NAP and the Zarb e Azab and it should be carried out by learning from the mistakes and weaknesses of the past.
Talking to the Ulema in the city on Saturday, he however said that linking terrorism with Islam was a wrong approach. He said that terrorism whether based on religion, ethnicity or regional bias was also terrorism.
Liaqat Baloch however said that conspiracy to make Pakistan a secular state under the cover of anti-terrorism drive was itself “Fasad” and the Islam loving masses would not permit that.
He said that revival of the military courts had become inevitable for the government to make the judicial system effective and speedy.
He said, that in the past, anti-terrorism courts, summary trial courts and Special Courts were also set up for these objectives.
However, he said, that the civil judicial system of the country gradually became weak and ineffective. That was why the state agencies and institutions were free to take extra judicial and supra constitutional measures.—Agencies
