QUETTA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaqat Baloch urged national leadership to join hands for finding the peaceful solution of issues relating to Balochistan province just like they made consensus on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Operation Zarb-e-Azb and National Action Plan (NAP).
Liaqat Baloch was addressing Balochistan High Court Bar here on Monday, saying that former president Pervez Musharaf is a national criminal who was involved in major anti-state activities came under Article 6. He demanded the federal government to meet a logical end in cases against the military dictator. Baloch said that Balochistan citizens were pushed into doubts after surprising move of the government by permitting Musharraf to leave the country.
The JI central leader strongly criticised slow pace of anti-corruption developments despite overall corruption ratio of Rs5,000 billion per year. He said that the government failed to put hands on different personalities found involved in corruption. Baloch was of the view that Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were clearly expressed outrage over summoning of accused by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
While commenting over controversial Punjab’s “Protection of Women Bill 2015”, Baloch termed it a bid to deprived women of their rights by imposition of the new regulations adopted from European society enough to destroy social and family systems of the country.
Answering a question, the JI leader expressed sorrow over lack of attention for proving supremacy of law and the Constitution in Pakistan. He said that justice became more expensive for the common man amid two different judicial systems for an elite and a local citizen. Liaqat Baloch said that principles of justice provided by the Holy Quran are only way out of exploitation that are needed to be implemented in the courts nationwide. He said that implementation of Quran and Sunnah laws are only solution to prove supremacy of laws.
Political parties have prior responsibility to step forward for electoral reformations but not only the establishment and the Government of Pakistan, Baloch said. He demanded provision of solid financial authorities to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to make electoral process “transparent”.
Basic issues of Balochistan were “political and financial in its genre” which should be resolved within boundaries defined by the Constitution.
“Jamaat-e-Islami has always raised voice for long standing resolve of Balochistan issues on every forum which will be continued,” Baloch vowed.
On the occasion, President BHC Bar Abdul Ghani Khilji, renowned lawyers’ leader Baaz Mohammed Kakar Advocate, Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate, Aminullah Kakar Advocate, JI Naib Ameer Mian Mohammed Aslam and JI Balochistan chief Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi were also present.
