LAHORE: Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) Mansoor Ali Shah on Monday formed a full bench to hear pleas filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) call of Islamabad lockdown due on November 2.
During the proceeding, CJ LHC ordered the three-member bench headed by senior judge Shahid Hameed Dar to commence hearing from October 26.
The other judges of the bench include Justice Anwar-ul-Haq and Justice Qasim Khan.
It is pertinent to mention here that local citizen Atif Sattar submitted a petition against PTI stating that the freedom of natives cannot be compromised due to so-called protests.
Earlier, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan announced to shut the federal capital on November 2. Khan had seized on the Panama Papers scandal as a fresh opportunity to try to unseat Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
