LAHORE: The Lahore High Court here on Monday declared the establishment of a special court to try former military dictator Pervez Musharraf for his Nov 3 2007 emergency as null and void.
The court also admitted the petitions filed by retired General Pervez Musharraf challenging his high treason conviction and other actions.
A full-bench headed by LHC Chief Justice Mr Justice Muzahar Ali Akbar Naqvi had announced the verdict.
Earlier in the day, the LHC had reserved its verdict on the petitions.
Last month, a special court hearing the high treason case had awarded death sentence to former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf for suspending the Constitution on Nov 3, 2007.
