KARACHI: Recently elected Local Government (LG) representatives, belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), have urged the newly elected Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah to purge the Sindh Building Control Authority of corrupt elements.
In a joint statement on Friday, the LG representatives congratulated Murad Ali Shah and hoped that he would ensure transparency in the business of governmental departments.
They said that the real challenge for the new CM would be purging governmental departments of corrupt elements so as to restore the trust of masses in the provincial government.
The LG elected leaders said that the SBCA has become the most corrupt institution in the province where none of legal business is done without bribe. They added that majority of the officers at the authority have become corrupt from their core.
They said that all illegal businesses are at rise in the institution. They demanded of the government to investigate the assets of the officers at the authority.
