LEAs arrest five suspects of terror attack near Aisha Manzil

KARACHI: Officials of law enforcement agencies claimed to have arrested five suspected persons from local flats over accusation of Water Pump attack where two traffic police officials lost their lives.

In-charge Counter-terrorism Department (CTD) Raja Umar Khattak said the incident has similarity with previous attacks carried out against traffic wardens.

Earlier, unidentified assailants on motorcycle gunned down two traffic wardens near Aisha Manzil. Police said five suspected persons were arrested in recent raid inside a flat situated near Water Pump.

Officials added that a computer was also seized which was being used by the suspects.

Raja Umar Khattak said suspicious of involvement of banned outfits cannot be rejected in terror attacks. He added al-Qaeda and banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi are involved in spreading terror in the metropolis while similarities were found in today’s incident from previous attacks.
