KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies (LEAs) apprehended reliogius scholar Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain and 40 others suspects in overnight raids in Karachi.
Sources said that Hussain, a prayer leader at Masjid Noor-e-Aiman, was taken into custody from Nazimabad area and shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
The arrest comes a day after police arrested former Pakistan People’s Party senator Faisal Raza Abidi from his house in New Rizvia Society late Friday night. Abidi was arrested in connection with the killings of two people in Patel Para area a day earlier.
