Election Commission of Pakistan has said the Local Bodies election will take place in Sindh and Punjab as per schedule despite the earthquake.
In a statement ECP said the quake didn’t affect the areas where first phase of LB polls are scheduled nor did any political party filed any application in this regard to postpone the elections, so the first phase election will take place according to the given schedule.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the LB polls are schedule to take place on 31st October in eight regions of Sindh and 12 regions of Punjab.
