A lawyer was sentenced to 18 years and six months in prison on Thursday by an anti-terrorism court for attacking a civil judge.
Sentencing advocate Imran to a prison term, the anti-terrorism court also fined him Rs250,000.
According to police, advocate Imran threw a chair at senior civil judge Khalid Mahmood Warriach on April 25 during an argument in court. The judge suffered a head injury as a result of the attack.
Judges had protested against the attack, following which advocate Imran was arrested by the police and a case was filed against him in the anti-terrorism court.
