KARACHI: In an another target killing incident ,unidentified assailants shot dead an assistant professor of Karachi University on Wednesday near Federal B Area block 14, Dastagir, police said.
According to the police the deceased identified to be Dr Abdul Wahidur Rehman , assistant professor of Mass Communication Department Karachi University.
The police said that the deceased received four bullets in his body around his face, head and chest.
Two assailants ridding on motorbike were fled from the scene, police added.
The KU teacher was also known from his name Yasir Rizvi.
In KU, teaching was suspended first after the news of professor killing appeared later the university was closed for two days.
Dr Shakil Auj, the dean faculty of Islamic Studies at Karachi University, was also gunned down by target killers near Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area in September last year.
