KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100-index on Tuesday sink at the beginning of the week as it dropped below 32,544 points.

The benchmark 100-index suffered loss of 415 points at the beginning of the week as it dropped below 32,544 points.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Chairman of the AKD Group, Aqeel Karim Dhedhi on Monday held an emergency press conference at the Karachi Press Club after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided his offices and detained three of his directors.

The FIA raided the offices of Aqeel Karim Dhedhi and detained Muhammad Fareed Alam CEO AKD Securities, Tariq Adam Ghumra Director, Head of Equity Operations AKD Securities and Muhammad Iqbal another Director in the AKD Group.

The three have been accused of causing losses running into millions to the national exchequer. According to sources, Aqeel Karim Dhedhi allegedly resisted against the FIA raiding party that came to arrest the three individuals.
