KP government introduces reforms in FATA: governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan says the government is introducing reforms in FATA as per the wishes of tribal people.

He was addressing two different jirgas at Khar in Bajaur Agency on Thursday. Members of the FATA Reforms Committee were also present on the occasion. The governor said the committee will seek proposals of the concerned people in all agencies of FATA.

Meanwhile, the committee on FATA reforms headed by its Chairman Sartaj Aziz visited Bajaur Agency today to ascertain the views of tribal elders, civil society and different political parties on the reform process.

The Committee members will also visit Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, South Waziristan and North Waziristan Agencies in the coming days.
