ISTANBUL: Turkey has given a weekend deadline to Saudi Arabia to assist in the investigation into the disappearance of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing Oct 2 after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul to obtain paperwork he needed to marry his Turkish fiancée.

According to Turkish journalist Ali Mustafa associated with the TRT World, if the kingdom failed to assist Ankara, there will be possibility that Turkish prosecutors questions consular staff of Saudi Arabia under the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations 1961.
