KARACHI: The initial route of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) has been changed due to non-clearance of the rail track, officials said here on Wednesday.
The officials of the Pakistan Railways said that the original plan of the KCR had been altered as the 14-kilometer track between City station and Orangi Town could not be cleared in time.
Experts have not okayed the 14-KM track due to the issue of level crossings, they added.
The Karachi Circular Railway is set to be launched from tomorrow between Pipri and City station.
Earlier, the train service was to be opened from Nov 16 between Pipri and Orangi Town.
