LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has stressed upon the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to adopt a firm and unambiguous policy for the liberation of Kashmir, the life line of the country.
Addressing the Majlis e Shoora of the JI, Azad Kashmir, at Rawalpindi, he said that the 180 million Kashmiris would stand shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brethren till their liberation. JI Azad Kashmir Abdur Rashid Turabi, also addressed the meeting.
He said the Kashmiris had foiled the anti Muslim and anti Kashmir policy of Indian Premier Narendera Modi.
Sirajul Haq said that the unlawful execution of Yaqub Memon had exposed Modi’s enmity towards Islam as also the India’s secularism.
The JI chief said that India must concede the Kashmiris; right to self determination in accordance with the UN resolutions and her own commitments.
He said that the Quad e Azam had termed Kashmir as the jugular line of the country while Maulana Maudoodi had termed Kashmir as the body for the country.
He said the parliamentary role of the JI in Azad Kashmir was important for carrying the freedom movement to its logical end. He stressed upon the JI workers and leaders in Azad Kashmir to make all out preparations and adopt the best strategy for elections in Azad Kashmir and was sure that no party would be able to face the JI.
