Kashmiris be given right to decide about their future: JI Chief

ISLAMABAD: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq on Sunday said Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) should be given their due right as per UN Resolutions to make decision about their future.

He said that India is committing human right violations in Occupied Kashmir and it cruel face has been exposed before the international community.

Addressing the Kashmir Session at 43rd Annual meeting of JI Workers Council of AJK Gilgit-Baltistan, JI Chief Siraj-ul-Haq said Kashmir is not just a problem of the people of the valley but an issue related to the whole Pakistani nation and the Muslim world.

The JI chief appreciated the efforts of Syed Ali Gilani and vowed to support the Kashmiris struggle for freedom till the last drop of his blood.

Terming Kashmir an incomplete agenda of the creation of Pakistan, he said Kashmiri freedom fighters were fighting for the completion of this specific agenda. He said the relation between Pakistan and Kashmir was that of soul and body.

JI Secretary General urged the international community to play its due role and demanded United Nations to ensure grant of right of self-determination to Kashmiris.

Other who spoke on the occasion included Naib Ameer JIPakistan Hafiz Idrees, Abdul Rasheed Turabi, Convener Hurriat Conference Ghulam Muhammad Safi.
