Kashmir ‘unfinished agenda’ of partition: Raheel Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army Chief Genral Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said that the Kashmir issue is an unfinished agenda of partition.

Speaking at National Defence University, Raheel Sharif said that all hopes for establishing peace will meet disappointment  until and unless Kashmir issue is resolved.

He clarified that Pakistan wants the solution of Kashmir issue according to  the Unoted Nations resolutions over the issue.

” Pakistan’s stance over the issue is clear as none can detach Kashmir from Pakistan”, said Sharif.

The Chief of Army Staff  warned Pakistan’s enemies by declaring that the country’s valiant armed forces will not allow any country to initiate a proxy war against Pakistan.
The COAS claimed that Pakistan’s enemy country is trying to destabilise Pakistan by promoting terrorism forgetting that the Pakistan Army is capable of dealiing with all such conspiracies.

Talking about Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Sharif claimed that the success achived during the operation against terrorists in tribal areas paved way for the same kind of operation in urban centres of Pakistan.

The COAS mmaintained that the operation increased harmony between political and military leadership.
