LAHORE: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Kashmir issue, tension on borders with India and the menace of terrorism are the main issues that Pakistan is confronting these days.
Talking to media here on Sunday, the Speaker said the Federal government is raising Kashmir issue at all the international for and he himself raised the issue in Turkey and Britain with his counterpart. He said the tension with India is due to Kashmir issue as the Indian army is indulging in atrocities against Kashmiri people and firing along the international border and LoC at civilians.
About the 2nd November meeting of PTI, the Speaker appreciated the law enforcement agencies for handling the situation well. He said there was no need for the Dharna as the petition was to come up before the Supreme Court.
To a question, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said PTI workers arrested under Section-144 have been set free.
He stressed the need that we should forget the past and move ahead for the development and wellbeing of the country and its people.
Replying to a question about the ongoing Smog, the Speaker said Pakistani parliament set the example of going “Green” and there is no zero emission of any pollution. He said one reason of the smog is Indian coal plants that are rising the pollution level.
The Speaker said Punjab Chief Minister has already held meetings to tackle the issue.
