KARACHI: The meteorological department forecasted that metropolitan city Karachi is once again posing a re-surge of receding heat wave.

According to the forecast, the fresh heat wave spell may stay for as long as a week with temperature feared to touch around 39°C to 40°C.

Met Office said the heat wave will persist till October 6 to 7.

A shallow westerly trough is present over upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 48 hours, according to Met Office.
