KARACHI: Karachi traders have rejected the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the Sindh government.

The Karachi’s Boulton Market Association (BMA) has rejected the government’s directive of doing business between 6am and 6pm.

BMA President Javed Qureshi said that the small traders had already suffered heavily due to the lockdown. He appealed to the government to review its decision.

The country’s economy especially the small traders could not afford new time restrictions, Javed Qureshi added.

He added that short business hours would cause rush in the markets, rising the coronavirus cases.
