KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has forecast a new spell of very hot weather for Karachi.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of increase in the intensity of heat in the port city. It said that the heat is likely to intensify in Karachi from April 23 to 25.

Maximum temperature in the mega city is expected to range between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius during the day and the hot and dry winds are likely to blow from the northwest. However, sea breezes are likely to blow in the evening.

The Meteorological Department has made it clear that the coming spell of very hot weather is not an heatwave.
