KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has forecast heatwave in Karachi during the next few days.
The department also forecast intensity in heat in the port city from tomorrow.
Mercury is likely to rise by 4 to 6 degree Celsius in the city. The Met office has forecast that the maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to remain between 36 and 38 degree Celsius from tomorrow.
There are chances of heatwave in the port city as the mercury is likely to rise upto 39 C after March 30. As the western system has ended, the wind direction will also change in the city. Hot and dry winds will blow from northwest, the Met office added.
