Karachi: Six including four terrorists killed in alleged police encounters

KARACHI: As many as six accused including four terrorists were killed in two alleged encounters in Karachi. While Rangers have arrested 13 suspects in different search operations in throughout the city.

According to DSP Counter Terrorism Department Ali Raza on secret agencies tip off police raided Ittehad Town of Baldya.  Exchange of firing reported between police and terrorist, at least four terrorists were killed in the raid and a policeman also injured.

The police said that terrorist were belonged to band outfit  Umar Khurasani faction of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and stated to be involved in Wagah bombing that killed 50 people in Lahore.Explosive material and ammunition was also recovered from the possession of the terrorists in the raid.

On the other hand another two more bandits were killed in a raid conducted on a house in Muhammad Goth of Sultanabad in Manghopir on information of presence of bandits, in firing exchange between police and the criminals.

Two policemen Arshad and Ayaz also sustained injuries in the exchange of fire.

The Police said killed bandits were involved in murders of policemen and wanted in many criminal activities.

As many as 13 suspects were arrested in Rangers search operation carried out in various areas of Karachi and 50 awan bombs as well as a sub-machine gun (smg) were also recovered from the suspects.
