SUKKUR: Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Saturday said Karachi’s situation has improved a lot in one month. He said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has disowned its founder.
He said that if there would be any links between MQM-Pakistan and MQM-London, these would come to fore very soon as such kind of relations could not be concealed.
Talking to journalists at Sukkur Press Club after visiting SIUT Sukkur and other city areas, Shah said the government had information about possible attack on Sindh CM House on August 22, but media houses were attacked that day.
He said that he had met Opposition Leader in Sindh Assemby Khwaja Izhar-ul-Hassan during the day on August 22 and seemed very satisfied during the meeting.
Talking to media at the residence of opposition leader Khurshid Shah in Sukkur, CM Sindh said that the implementation of the strategy planned for Sukkur will be soon done.
He urged the locals to play their role for the development of the region at individual level as CM cannot do every work.
Earlier, CM Sindh arrived in Sukkur for two days visit and surprisingly visited the streets, creating tension among the officials of local administration who started cleanliness process immediately.
Murad Ali Shah also had an ice cream that was purchased from a local shop and met patients at SIUT Cheblani Medical Centre. He inspected treatment facilities being provided to patients at the centre.
During the visit to SIUT centre, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah. The chief minister was briefed by the administration of the centre regarding the treatment facilities being provided to the patients. The chief minister expressed his satisfaction over the briefing and facilities being provided to patients.
On the occasion, he said that corrupt officers would not be forgiven at all as government officers are there to serve people only. He also said that local body representatives would be given due funds so that they can work for the locals.
Shah said that in the past Sukkur was neglected and there was much room in this city for progress and prosperity. He pledged that the current PPP government would pay due attention towards the development of the third largest city of the province.
Shah said that everyone should play its due role as it was not possible for CM to reach everywhere and do every work.
He warned the government employees against any slackness in discharge of their official duties. He urged the bureaucracy to develop patience and fervor for serving the masses and extend every possible facilities to them.
Mayor of Sukkur Arsalan Sheikh and other were also present on the occasion.
